URBANIST

URBANIST is a free fold-out guide to San Diego's best local restaurants, bars, shops, salons and galleries. FCS managed sales, curation, communications, and guide production from 2015 (its 7th edition) until its 2017 sale, surpassing previous guide sales records from year one. Despite the challenges of print ad sales, in striving to uphold and enhance guide quality and reputation, FCS worked with the publisher to limit all listings to locally owned and operated, doggedly declining several non-locally-based advertisers to create a unique niche for the guide, and support local businesses and entrepreneurs.
